Our 50m x 25m sports hall can be divided into three sections. It caters to a variety of activities including Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Indoor Football, Gymnastics, Mini Athletics, Boccia, Bowls, Tae-Kwon-Do, Table Tennis, Fitness Classes, Dancing, KickBoxing competitions, and more!

Acting Academy is a performing arts school taking place every Saturday morning at Alsaa. Catering for ages 5-17 we teach acting, singing and dance. Each year we produce an incredible show in a professional theatre and all of our students perform. Many of our students have moved into a professional career in the performing arts while many others have simply created great memories getting fit, making friends, having fun and growing their confidence and self-esteem.

Aer Lingus Divers is based in ALSAA and is affiliated to Diving Ireland and CMAS, the Irish and international scuba diving bodies. The club has its own boat and provides diving, snorkelling and cox’n training to our club members. Training available for all levels from beginners and onwards. 

 

We dive and snorkel in Dublin, mainly in Skerries and Howth.  We also take diving trips around Ireland to places such as St John’s Point, Malin Beg, Kilkee, Hook Head, Cahirciveen, Castlegregory and Portroe.

Members train in the ALSAA pool (main complex) on Thursday nights at 8.00pm.

ALSAA Swim Club is a newly established Swimming Club, founded in 2019 and based at the Alsaa swimming pool in Dublin Airport. Our club is led by Paolo Di Paola, a qualified Swim Ireland Level 3 coach and tutor.

Our “Learn To Swim” programme starts from age 4+.

From the age of 7, kids can join the ALSAA Swim Club and be part of a friendly, inclusive and quality-coached club. The Swim Club offers both competitive and improver programmes when the sport can be encouraged, skills enhanced, and stamina developed in line with their personal goals, interests and proficiency in swimming. We are always looking for talented swimmers like you!

We take what children love to do the most (running super fast, jumping high and throwing far) and mix it with imaginative themes, learning to follow instructions, making friends and developing gross motor skills. It’s the magical combination of imaginative play, sport and burning energy!

Swords Basketball Club is part of the vibrant and inclusive community at ALSAA. From the youngest ballers aged 5 and above to seasoned adult teams, our club provides a dynamic and supportive environment for everyone to embrace the sport. In addition to our regular teams, we proudly host a Special Olympics team, embodying the spirit of inclusivity and ensuring that basketball is a sport for everyone. Our Bridge Club was formed in 1982. We play each Thursday at 7:30pm  in the ALSAA GOLD room (1st Floor). New members welcome for a friendly night’s Bridge.

Aer Lingus Lawn Bowls Club was established in 1989. We are a vibrant club located in the Alsaa Sports Complex. Our club is a mixed league club under the Irish Lawn Bowls association. We play Summer and Winter league.  We benefit from a synthetic surface which enables us to play all year around. A warm welcome awaits you at the club.

The Aer Lingus Tenpin Bowling Club, founded in 1964, arranges a number of bowling events for its members.

Tenpin bowling was introduced to Ireland in 1963 and some of our members have been bowling for sixty years!

Come and join us for a lifelong sport for all ages and all abilities!

Club members play in other team leagues in ALSAA Bowl during the week and also in monthly singles events as well as the annual ALSAA Open in January. The main activity is the ALTBC handicap trios league on Friday nights in ALSAA Bowl with over 100 members in 30 teams playing in 3 divisions. A Knock-out Cup takes place in the Autumn season and a Fun Bowl night is held at the end of the Spring season.

A number of Club Members are Qualified National Coaches so coaching can be arranged. Members also have access to the Strike 74 Pro Shop in ALSAA Bowl for bowling equipment and advice from the expertly skilled staff.

We have had 315 perfect 300 games bowled in ALSAA. When you get yours, you will receive your personal engraved presentation bowling pin and your name displayed over the lanes. You just need to get started!

The Aer Lingus Chess Club gathers every Monday night at 20:00 from September to May in the ALSAA Complex. Participating in the Leinster Leagues, the club is proudly affiliated with the Leinster Chess Union. Welcoming players of all levels, it’s a great place for both seasoned strategists and those new to the game.

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art form that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, martial arts and music. Children’s classes are 6.00pm – 7.00pm on Mondays and adult classes are 7.00pm – 8.00pm on Mondays. The group is led by Mestre Sansao (Master Sansao Maia), who is an expert in the Brazilian martial art of capoeira and has over 30 years experience teaching this art form worldwide to people of all ages and abilities.

Mundo Capoeira was the first capoeira group in Ireland and was established in 2001. Since then Mundo Capoeira has been the leading provider of Capoeira workshops & performances in the country to a wide range of schools, universities, businesses, festivals & events.

Beginners are welcome.

Eccles Gymnastics Club is an artistic gymnastics club with over 40 years history of providing classes to children and teenagers in north Dublin. Now based in ALSAA Sports Centre, we provide fun, recreational, non-competitive classes, for children aged 4 years and over.

Our gymnastics training sessions are both fun and challenging. Through our classes, participants develop good coordination, self-confidence and discipline as well as strength, balance, flexibility and agility. Our recreational gymnastics training allows gymnasts to develop their gymnastics skills in a fun, encouraging, non-competitive environment.

After a short warm up, gymnasts learn skills on floor, sprung floor, beam, bars, vault, trampette and air track. Apparatus rotate on a 2 week schedule, with 3 apparatus covered each week.

Training times are on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. Sessions are run on a term system, with three twelve week terms a year.

Junior hockey training takes place every Friday evening 6:45 pm to 8pm. We cater for boys and girls from age 4+. Training is a mix of fitness, skills, games and lots of fun! New comers are always welcome.
